His last transmission hinted that he was close to uncovering the truth regarding a top secret project but all the high ranked officers are still using encrypted communication protocols making some vital information elusive to him. You assume the identity of an infiltrator team that was sent to decrypt and retrieve the hidden intel while figuring out what happened to your former trainer.
