WeaknessesThe puzzles rarely impress the demanding. Some mention bare black walls or printed doors, and a maze that wears down your orientation. One player left, and more sensitivity was requested from the game master.
StrengthsProduction design, lighting, and sound that mesh flawlessly and raise your pulse. Excellent performances and a cinematic intro that sucks you in. Large, immersive space with rhythm and well-balanced scares.
SecurityStaff seem friendly and alert, with clear instructions and prompt execution of the scares. The intensity can escalate; if you want a milder pace, arrange it in advance.
Level of fearVery scary, with frequent, abrupt jump scares, loud sound, and deep darkness; not suitable for kids or the sensitive. There are moments of contact/grabs by actors.
Actors' gameThe actors shine, from Sister Irene who guides the story to Valak who haunts as he should. The team is fast, precise, and builds a real connection with players.
Quality of riddlesFlow and quantity are very good for horror, with fair solutions and no excessive busywork. They don't aim for mind-blowing ideas, but serve the tension and the story. The maze challenges those who get easily disoriented.
PlotRomania, 1972: after unexplained deaths at Saint Cartha's, the Church sends a team to reopen the monastery and confront the Evil. The opening is purely cinematic, then it leans into a classic haunted monastery, without unnecessary spoilers.
Difficulty levelMedium puzzle difficulty, manageable even for duos with good communication. Those with orientation issues may struggle in the basement/maze.
